Red Chilli Rest Camp Murchison Falls National Park
What we offer:
Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda, offering an unrivalled experience including classic ‘big game’ viewing opportunities, chimpanzee tracking, breathtaking African scenery, the awesome river Nile, and the eponymous falls.
Red Chilli is superbly located to explore Murchison. We are at Paraa on the southern banks of the River Nile in the heart of the park. Our camp is just 500 metres from the Paraa ferry, where all vehicles cross the Nile for game drives around the Nile Delta, and where boats can be hired for game viewing and sport fishing.
We have a fully stocked bar and restaurant below a large open thatched roof with spectacular views towards the Nile. The restaurant is open daily from 6.30a.m. until 9.30p.m. with the bar serving drinks until midnight. A bonfire is lit every evening for the full ‘safari’ experience. Our modern toilets and showers are newly built, with provision for disabled visitors.
For those on a tight budget, or without their own transport, we run a very popular three day safari tour to Murchison departing from Kampala several times a week. We can also cater for those wanting exclusive tours. Please enquire for further information.
Great Value Accommodation:
We offer the only low to mid budget accommodation in the park, in furnished safari tents and bandas (thatched huts built in the Ugandan style), as well as the only camping facilities with modern showers, toilets, cooking area and security lighting.
Our Rates effective 15th August 2011:
“Due to currency rate fluctuations between the US Dollar (USD) and Ugandan Shilling (UGX) we will now be charging USD for accommodation, as well as tours with Red Chilli Hideaway and Rest Camp. The following prices will apply from 15th August 2011”.

All our bandas come with mosquito nets, electric lights and a fan. Linen and towels are supplied. The en-suite twin and family bandas also have power sockets but for those staying in the standard twin bandas or safari tents, there are power sockets available in the bar to charge cameras etc.
Please note, electricity is available at Murchison from 9am until midnight. Our safari tents are supplied with paraffin lanterns at night and there are candles available in the bandas.
Tents have bedding supplied but no towels. Twin safari tents are specially treated with mosquito repellent and are fitted with mesh windows, so careful use does deliver an insect-free night!.
